This beta is designed exclusively for Triangle Cricket League (TCL) members to test and provide feedback. Use by other leagues is not supported.
What this does
This tool uses AI to answer questions about TCL rules, bylaws, and tournament regulations based on uploaded league documents.
Important disclaimers
AI answers are not official rulings — always verify with the league committee for binding decisions
Answers are generated from uploaded documents and may not reflect the most recent rule changes
This is a beta preview — expect occasional errors or incomplete answers
Your data
Questions and answers are stored to improve the service and for admin review
Your IP address is logged for analytics (unique user counting)
No personal accounts or login required
Feedback you provide (thumbs up/down) helps us evaluate answer quality
Usage & Limits
Use respectfully — this tool is for cricket rules questions only
Do not upload or share sensitive personal information in questions
The service may have usage limits and may be unavailable during maintenance
Please wait ~1 minute between questions — the AI has a rate limit on how many words it can process per minute. If you see "AI is busy", just wait a moment and try again
Longer, more detailed answers take more processing time — keep questions focused for faster responses
How it works
TCL rule documents (Bylaws, PL Handbook, T20 Handbook) are pre-loaded and indexed
When you ask a question, relevant document text is sent to Claude Haiku 4.5 (Anthropic's fast AI model) along with your question
The AI reads the rules and answers with source citations — it does not make up information
Prompt caching reduces cost on repeated questions against the same documents
Since this is a beta, requests are rate-limited (~1 per minute) to keep API costs manageable. This will improve as we scale
